ICAS Announces Investment in WorkMedicalDirect

ICAS, Europe’s leading employee support and well-being company, today announces its acquisition of WorkMedicalDirect (WMD) - a national provider of Occupational Health services. This will enable ICAS to deliver on its strategy to provide a co-ordinated approach to employee support and well-being for SMEs and large companies alike.

ICAS, through WMD, will now be able to offer customers a comprehensive range of Occupational Health and Absence Management services, alongside their Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs).

Stephen Galliano, Managing Director of ICAS said: “This acquisition heralds the continuation of the ICAS strategy of consolidation and expansion of services within the employee support and well-being marketplace. There is a natural synergy between Occupational Health and the provision of EAPs. Our strategy to develop our well-being services aligns closely with WMD’s ability to provide a strong Occupational Health support.”

Other benefits to ICAS’ and WMD’s customers include integrated reporting, a streamlined referral process and efficient account management.

Dr Munna Roy, Director of WMD said: “We are delighted to be part of ICAS, given their expertise in employee assistance and well-being. At a time where companies are recognising the value in integrating Occupational Health and effective employee support we will be offering, with ICAS, a total solution for companies to maximise their employee’s ability to perform at work.”

Dr Gareth Toal, Director of WMD added: “Many companies have a piecemeal approach to delivery of health and employee support services. ICAS and WMD will ensure a co-ordinated approach to well-being services and will deliver focused strategies for health improvement.” -ends-
